KI-73 SLA Turreted T-55 APC
This vehicle is designed for troop transport and was used in the late 1990s by the South Lebanon Army (SLA). There are 3 different versions of the T-55 APC (armoured personnel carrier) and the version presented here is the one most used by the SLA, which is also the source of the changes made on the T-55. These transformations were carried out in workshops located in the barracks Marjayoun, the headquarters of the SLA.
The SLA withdrew the barrel of the T-55 to replace it with a 30. cal machine gun and two other positioned on the turret. On some of these APC Nochri system was added.
This vehicle, used for a large part by the SLA, however, was also used by the Lebanese army or Hezbollah after of the dissolution of the South Lebanon Army May 24, 2000.
